Film

Redboat produced "the longest continous visual effects shot in an Australian short-film" (IF Magazine, 2008), running 1 minute and 43 seconds. 3d previsualisation and camera planning was done using Maya 3d software. It was shot on 35mm in 5 passes using a motion control rig at Carnival Studios. Visual effects include sky, sea and moon background, keying, a heap of rotoscoping, smoke, fire, computer generated telegraph pole, shattered windscreen, car roof and head-rests, rear windscreen and additional set elements of grass, shrubs and rocks to cover up the motion control rig rails.
