To support the publication of two new reports about blockchain technology, Australia's leading data innovation group DATA61 came to Redboat to find a way
to communicate the key messages of this technical complex subject in an engaging 90 second animation.
Blockchain is a form of distributed ledger technology (DLT) that connects different parties over the internet to provide a secure and trustworthy record
of their transactions (both financial and non-financial), without giving control to a third party.
On blockchains, you can prove where information has come from and gone to, which means it has the potential to open up new economic activity in areas
such as financial services, regtech, supply chains and government registries.
After discussing the strategic messages, stakeholder goals and the principles of blockchain technology itself, we distilled the script and concepts
for review. Once these had passed the scrutiny of the scientists and communication team at DATA61, we produced detailed colour storyboards that illustrated
exactly how the animation would look and flow. With the script, concepts, storyboard and voice over recording approved, the animation took under 4
weeks to complete. Our fast-track option enabled the project to be turned around in under 6 weeks from initial brief to final delivery.

"Redboat helped us to create an online animation for interested parties to lean about Marine Zoning. We had a short turnaround time and very specific requirements, which did change at our end during the course of the project. The team at Redboat were wonderful. They offered suggestions to improve the process along the way, never seemed phased by last minute changes and were generally a pleasure to work with. We were thrilled with the end product. I’d highly recommend their services. "

"We used Redboat to tell a complex story in a short animation. We were completely happy both with the result – it make quite an impact at the time and is still being used successfully – and with the professional way in which Adrian interacted with the team in developing and fine-tuning the brief. I enthusiastically recommend his work generally and have done to others who might be looking for similar services."
